Jonathan “Yama” Shill

Jonathan “Yama” Shill is Founder and CEO of Focused Support LLC. Yama graduated from Utah State University in 2000. He was a Distinguished Graduate (DG) of Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program (ENJJPT) in 2001 and went on to be an F-15C Mission Commander, MQ-1/9 Instructor Pilot, and AFMC Command Pilot. Yama has thousands of hours of combat support time in MQ-1 and MQ-9s. Yama led the development of the first collaborative Tactical Situational Display for USAF Predator and Reapers as well as multiple MQ-1 and MQ-9 weapons displays for Hellfire, GBU-38 JDAM and GBU-49 Enhanced Paveway II. As commander of OL-Det 3, Yama led USAF developmental test of Predator and Reaper Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).

Yama’s passion to develop fieldable, innovative mission execution solutions led him in 2011 to found Focused Support LLC. His decades of experience of combat operations and mission systems integrations enable the understanding required to ensure that solutions are operationally suitable.

Yama lives in Utah and loves to spend time with his wife and four children. He also loves flying and all things aviation.

Adam Stull

Adam Stull is Cofounder and CTO of Focused Support. After graduating from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2003 with a B.S. in Computer Science, Adam’s first job was teaching other software engineers how to develop on top of the Tactical Display Framework (TDF). After a short stint in the commercial sector developing social media applications for TV shows and movies, Adam returned to the defense industry as lead developer for the Raytheon Solipsys Zeus TacSit. As lead Zeus engineer, Adam led the effort to replace a legacy FalconView-based system with Zeus at over 20 locations throughout the USAF. These experiences gave Adam a passion for working on commercial off-the-shelf products that make a significant and immediate impact to the warfighter.

Adam joined Yama at Focused Support LLC with the goal of creating software products to fill critical gaps for the warfighter. Designing and building a next generation mission execution platform, Cavok, and seeing that platform deployed continues to be a rewarding experience for Adam.

Adam lives in Maryland with his wife and two children. Outside of Focused Support, he enjoys travel, spending time with family, reading, and flying.
